We Offer Solutions

We engage in comprehensive research and studies aimed at raising awareness of the urgent needs within our nation’s foster care systems, ultimately benefiting both staff and children.

At Mercy Mission, we are dedicated to empowering foster children, advocating for infant and toddler development, and supporting families to build strong, healthy futures. In addition to foster care and advocacy, we now proudly offer expanded services to foster personal and family success through initiatives focused on:

  • Child Development: Supporting infants and toddlers with developmentally appropriate care and education.

  • Foster Family Empowerment: Helping foster children and their families thrive through advocacy and guidance.

  • Healthy Family Programs: Providing resources and education for parents and caregivers to build active, successful, and resilient families.

Coming Soon: Jenell’s Healthy Family Program

We are thrilled to engage in Healthy Family Program with the  Michigan community! This initiative includes the Pathways to Parenthood Program, which offers:

  • SIDS Prevention Workshops: Teaching families safe sleep practices to reduce infant mortality.

  • Postpartum Recovery Support: Providing emotional, mental, and physical health resources for new mothers.

  • Fatherhood Empowerment Sessions: Encouraging active father involvement for stronger family bonds.

  • Infant Care and Development Seminars: Educating families on nutrition, developmental milestones, and more.

We’re committed to making a difference in the lives of families and children. Stay tuned as we bring these vital programs to the Detroit community!
